Airplanes

Today I went to Valley Forge park to photograph the radio controlled airplanes. One section of the park has an airstrip for the planes to use during takeoffs and landings. When I was a boy the plans were small, expensive and held together with rubber bands. The rubber bands allow the wings to pop off during the crash landings.

Some of these planes have wing spans in excess of 6 feet and the pilots have special crates to transport the planes to the field. This yellow plane even had a pilot!

I'll take more pictures and get to know how and why these guys started the club.
