Lazy palm tree

Until today I had never seen a tree so lazy it couldn't stand tall and reach for the sun. I guess if a lazy tree grew anywhere else it would become firewood. This lazy tree got off easy.

Pickleball

They play a game called pickleball in Florida; the game is played outside using a wooden paddle and a wiffle ball. You can live blocks away from the pickleball court and still hear the sound of a paddle hitting the ball. I wish I could describe the sound but I cannot, you need to get yourself to Florida to experience the game.

This tall tree along the Saint Johns River served as a resting point for a flock of cranes.

We passed by the buzzard unscathed and saw a turtle catching some sunshine.

So I'm on a boat ride looking for manatees and I see buzzards. Are the buzzards looking for tourists?

Cormorant

The cormorant is an unusual bird. The cormorant cannot fly if it's wings are wet so it sits around drying it's self in the sun.

It's amazing how many shades of blue you'll see when you fly in an airplane.
