Women's lib?

I do not drive on this road every week so I can not say when this message was written. Does anyone have a comment about the message?

I think since the painter used the singular form of woman, it must have been one disgruntled female barn painter - scraping paint off the barn in the hot summer sun. Typically, she'd be inside doing the ironing but her brother is sick in bed so she got to do the painting.Initially, she was very excited to get out of doing women's work. . . until the paint flakes started sticking to her skin in the humidity. This all happened circa 1970 - when you'd hear the term woman's (sic) "lib."
